Practice Tapas or discipline. If you're having trouble keeping a regular yoga practice, lay your mat out in a certain place in your house for a week and at a specific time each day sit on it. Half the battle is finding the time to just sit. Hopefully in time you'll realize, "Hey, I'm already here, why not practice?"

Make a list of 3 things you've wanted to do your whole life. Start with the smaller goal and end with the biggest. Then take the time to do the first one. Once you've accomplished that move to the next. It might take time, but know that you're on your way and have patience.

Practice Svadhyaya or self reflection. Take an hour or two to sit by yourself in a relaxing place free from any disturbances. Listen to what thoughts arise and jot them down in a journal then read them out load. Notice how you feel.

Weekly OM: Practice Brahmacharya or energy management. Skip that cocktail party or boys night out for a relaxing and rejuvenating night in with a good book or movie.

Show yourself some compassion. Write 10 things you love about yourself on a piece of paper and tape it to your bathroom mirror. Read it out load every time you look at yourself.
