What is it that draws you into your zone, allowing you to be in the present moment? This a form of active meditation. Whether it's playing golf, dancing, music or drumming, take the time this week to just let yourself go. When you're in the zone, the mind begins to quiet and you become one with everything around you.

Practice savasana. Savasana allows us the time to slow down from our busy lives, take in our practice and begin to quiet the mind. This could be as simple as taking a few minutes on your mat in corpse pose, taking a vacation, spending time with friends and loved ones, or even meandering through stores for a day of shopping!

Practice Tapas or discipline. If you're having trouble keeping a regular yoga practice, lay your mat out in a certain place in your house for a week and at a specific time each day sit on it. Half the battle is finding the time to just sit. Hopefully in time you'll realize, "Hey, I'm already here, why not practice?"

Make a list of 3 things you've wanted to do your whole life. Start with the smaller goal and end with the biggest. Then take the time to do the first one. Once you've accomplished that move to the next. It might take time, but know that you're on your way and have patience.

Practice Svadhyaya or self reflection. Take an hour or two to sit by yourself in a relaxing place free from any disturbances. Listen to what thoughts arise and jot them down in a journal then read them out load. Notice how you feel.
